Staying in Sedona

There are so many options of places to stay in Sedona, AZ-hotels, motels, golf and spa resorts, bed and breakfasts, cabins, RV parks, hostels, campgrounds or vacation rental homes. Whatever your style you will find the perfect place. In addition to choosing what style accommodation, you also have to choose where you want to be-Uptown, Oak Creek Canyon, West Sedona, or Village of Oak Creek each with its own unique characteristics.

Uptown Sedona sits at the base of Oak Creek Canyon, has great shopping, excellent restaurants, galleries and is home to Sedona Art Center. West Sedona stretches along State Route 89A and has restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques not to mention Whole Foods grocery store. Oak Creek Canyon is a beautiful location where you can stay in a lovely cabin in the Coconino National Forest. Three golf courses, outlet stores, cafes, fine dining restaurants can all be found in the Village of Oak Creek Canyon. You can stay in a bed and breakfast or a newly renovated resort hotel. Each of these areas have their own highlights and are in close proximity to everything Sedona has to offer whether you want to take an epic hike, watch a stunning sunset, find a unique piece of art, relax at a spa or eat at a fine restaurant.

We opted to stay at the Sedona Summit Resort on the west side of town for a variety of reasons. We wanted to be in a quiet out of the way place and with its location in West Sedona, this requirement was fulfilled. Another feature we wanted was a place with a full kitchen so we could prepare some of our own meals-the kitchen in our unit was fully equipped with everything we needed (coffee pot, coffee and filters) and then some we wanted (toaster)! Add in the other spaces in the suite-balcony, sitting room with electric fireplace spacious bedroom, huge bathroom with soaking tub and sizable shower it was the perfect place for us to spend our vacation. The suite was completely outfitted with kitchen linens, bath linens and pool towels as well as paper towels, extra trash bags, dish and dishwasher soap, and laundry soap. We just had to make a stop (or two) at Whole Foods to get our groceries!

The property had plenty of amenities some of which were closed due to Covid-19 such as the fitness center. Things we could take advantage of were the pools, hot tubs, hammocks, BBQ grills and picnic areas. There was ample parking considering the number of units. Sedona Summit Resort is close to hiking trailheads, bike trails, shopping and restaurants.
